We're raising awareness about open data with federal political parties during the elections

September 4, 2015

The Open Data Society of BC, Open Data Institute Toronto, and Open North have teamed-up to raise awareness about open data with federal political parties during the elections.

We believe that open data cuts across partisanship. The principles of transparency, accountability, citizen engagement matter to all. We want the Government of Canada to drive the open data revolution in Canada and empower Canadian the movement to achieve its full impact, creating a cost effective, efficient, and responsive government while driving innovation and economic opportunities.

Together, we reached out to leaders in the open data community to ask them to support this public letter.

There's still time to sign! If you’d like to add the name of your organization to the letter, please contact info@opendatabc.ca.
